THE OPPORTUNITY:
Bluebird is a mountain lifestyle shop in Squamish on the route to Whistler. Alongside tuning and rentals, it brings together snowboard culture, specialty coffee, bike service, and a sense of community for people heading to or from the hill.
The challenge was to capture that mountain energy in a brand that also communicated technical expertise and convenience. It needed to feel at home with dedicated riders and cyclists while remaining welcoming to casual visitors.
THE SOLUTION:
I designed the Bluebird icon to suggest both a bird in flight and a mountain landscape, giving the shop a distinctive mark rooted in its setting. A dark, moody palette reflects mountain culture, while electric blue evokes the clear skies of a bluebird day.
Bold, legible typography gives the identity a confident presence across signage, apparel, equipment, and the retail space.
